Environmental Stressors Can Negatively Effect Your Health

Sick building syndrome is used to describe situations in which building occupants experience acute health and comfort effects that appear to be linked to time spent in a building, but no specific illness or cause can be identified. The average American is indoors 90% of the time. It's a terrifying thought to think that we may not be safe passing the time in our own homes. What's worse, our schools may not be the safest environments for children. This study discusses relationship between pollutant exposures and health issues in schools.

One of the major sources of stress in life is illness. It's even more stressful not being able to pinpoint the cause of sickness. But don't stress, there are way to prevent/overcome the effects of sick building syndrome. If you would like to learn more about environmental health, methods of detecting exposure to harmful elements like toxic mold, and ways to ensure your home is safe and clean, please join us Tuesday March 10th at 12pm and 6pm. Environmental health expert, Dr. William Croft, will be our guest speaker.
